BBI Chairman Peter Blanck to Give Public Lectures at University of Leeds UK on People with Disabilities

BBI Chairman and University Professor, Dr. Peter Blanck, will be an honored guest at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Blanck will give two presentations on topics related to people with disabilities during his time at the University. The first, entitled “Self-Determination and Legal Capacity: Developments in the USA on Supported-Decision Making,” will discuss law, policy and research developments on the use of supported-decision making in the United States. This lecture will occur on Thursday, March 30th from 17:00 – 18:30 BST. 

Blanck’s second presentation will include topics discussed in his book, “eQuality: The Struggle for Web Accessibility by Persons with Disabilities,” as well as a reflection on new disability law and policy developments in the United States and internationally that have emerged since the book was published in 2014. This event will occur on Monday, April 3rd from 12:00 – 14:00 BST.

Both events are free to attend, but registration is required.
